I've had the good fortune to have my poems published in some of the best journals in the country (American Life in Poetry, The Iowa Review, Poet Lore,…) and I worked for six years at a literary magazine selecting other writers' work for publication. Additionally, I have years of experience working with private clients and teaching poetry classes in group settings.
What I'm trying to say is—I've been around the poetry block a time or two. And no matter where you are in your pursuit of learning the craft of poetry, I can help you get better.

What does the coaching package entail?
A lesson emailed to you every two weeks. Each lesson focuses on a particular topic like voice, imagery and detail, figurative language, rhythm and musicality, etc.
Example poems that illustrate the lesson content.
An “assignment” based on the lesson. This is not a writing prompt but rather a challenge to focus on a particular craft element in your poem.
Feedback from me on specific elements of your poem—I'll let you know what's working well and where you can improve.
Optional add-on Zoom mtgs.
